Mallory Eastman joined Nutricia’s Medical Affairs team in 2008 and has worked with KetoCal since 2010. In 2015, Mallory moved to the Marketing team and now manages KetoCal’s digital marketing initiatives. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science from Wake Forest University and her Master’s of Science degree in Health Communication from Boston University. Mallory enjoys breaking down complicated medical information into everyday language that is useful to the non-medical audience, like moms, dads, and other caregivers. Mallory is passionate about the ketogenic diet for epilepsy because she has a sister with epilepsy who has been on the ketogenic diet since 2015. She hopes that her personal experience with the ketogenic diet be will helpful for other families at various stages of their ketogenic diet journeys.
Ellen Sviland Avery joined Nutricia as the Medical Advisor for Ketogenics and Growth during the summer of 2014. She has extensive experience in pediatrics, metabolics and tube feeding. Prior to coming to Nutricia, she worked in home infusion. Her background also includes working at Georgetown University Hospital and Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. She was a metabolic nutrition trainee at Spark’s Clinics in Birmingham, Alabama. Ellen has a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Sport Studies from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has been a registered dietitian for more than 10 years. Her passion in pediatric nutrition started when she was in Birmingham working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and has continued throughout her career.
