Quick & Easy, Kid-Friendly School Lunch Ideas for the Ketogenic Diet (4:1 Ratio) Using KetoCal 4:1 LQ

The following recipe ideas can be used with the KetoCal 4:1 LQ Vanilla or Unflavored. The nutrition information will be the same for either flavor.

 

KetoCal LQ, Carrots and Dip (4:1)

This recipe is for patients following a 4:1 ketogenic diet. The ketogenic diet should only be used under close medical supervision. Always check with your health care professional to ensure that a recipe is appropriate.

Ingredients:

12 g Carrots, raw

237 mL (1 drink box) KetoCal 4:1 Liquid

6 g Mayo - Real Mayonnaise       

Directions:

1.     Dip carrots in mayo, sip KetoCal LQ

Ingredients:

16 g Strawberries, frozen - unsweetened

237 mL (1 drink box) KetoCal 4:1 Liquid

6 g Butter

Directions:

1.     Before packing: Mix strawberries with butter and freeze. May add a small amount of liquid sweetener.

2.     At school: Eat frozen strawberry mixture with a spoon, sip KetoCal LQ

2.     At school: Dip celery in peanut butter mixture, sip KetoCal LQ

40 g Cucumber, peeled - raw

237 mL (1 drink box) KetoCal 4:1 Liquid

5 g Mayo - Real Mayonnaise

2 g Salad Dressing, Ranch

Directions:

1.     Before packing: Mix mayo and ranch to make dip.

2.     At school: Dip sliced cucumbers in dip, sip on KetoCal LQ

1.     Before packing: Mix bacon, chopped broccoli and mayo.

2.     At school: Eat broccoli salad with a spoon, sip on KetoCal LQ
